Conduct Covert Operations During the Cold War in Vienna Connection From Publisher Portal Games

Publisher Portal Games is bringing the Detective Investigation System into the Cold War with Vienna Connection, an upcoming 1 - 5 player cooperative game designed by Ignacy Trzewiczek and Jakub Poczęty in collaboration with Przemysław Rymer and Jakub Łapot. Set during the Cold War in the late 1970’s, players take on the role of highly trained covert CIA agents sent to Europe with the mission of investigating the death of James Werner, an American citizen who was found murdered by local police in Vienna. Over the course of four missions players will conduct secret operations, gather intel, utilize local assets, and decipher classified messages from the agency headquarter in Langley, Virginia. Similar to Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game, Vienna Connection features an overarching story that connects each individual mission with one another.

At the time of writing Vienna Connection is scheduled for a retail release in May of 2021, Portal Games is currently running a pre-order campaign which adds several additional components and bonuses.
